As a brand personnel, I was able to provide my clients with genuine and professional videos ranging from product reviews to brand awareness advertising. One of my best clients was a consultant from Singapore, who needed videos from me for his facial lie detection classes. He would order video gigs from me, ask me to mute the sound, so that he could show his class how to detect lies in people's facial features at certain times due to facial cues. Another video order I did was create English grammar educational videos for a professor in India.
I enrolled in ENT3003 with the high hopes of starting a business--just like anyone else. As I learned more about entrepreneurship, I now realize that it is more than just an action, it is a mental state of mind: to be successful as an entrepreneur, you have to love what you're doing, take risks and be okay with making mistakes. (Luckily for me, I was voted "most risk-taking" in high school, so I have that down.)
In the long run, I hope to utilize these skills that I will attain from this class into my life for the many future endeavors I plan to make.
Can I get a high five?!

I like your post Lauren! I gave you a highfive but now my screen is smudged
ReplyDeleteAlso I found your experience working as brand personnel very interesting, especially the way you were working with clients internationally and with such diverse purposes as training people to detect lies!

ReplyDeleteCongrats! you just figured out what most people will never understand. That entrepreneurship is not what you do, its how you do it. It's waking up each day asking yourself how you can improve, how you can be more effective, and how you can make the world a better place. Entrepreneurship is a lifestyle that is not meant for the weak of heart. The growth of our nation has been fueled mostly by the innovative entrepreneurs that don't take no for an answer. when challenged, they ask themselves how they can get around the obstacle, not just submit to the added level of difficulty.
