Customer Interviews No. 1

This opportunity was hard. Not going to lie. I don't know if it's because I don't know how to read English, or I overthink things, but I totally think I did this assignment wrong.
The opportunity is out there somewhere, and it is flexible to whatever person's perspective on it can be.

First off, interviewing people is hard. You get tongue-tied; you feel awkward; at times, you can only get one question answered from them because they're busy. Long story short, factors (random ones) will happen, and you have to make the most of what data you collect.
I think this exercise was really fun, and at the same time, I do understand that people have a lot of unmet needs in this society.

I've all kinda grouped my interviews into one succinct video. I apologize for the bleh editing, but there's more improvement along this entrepreneurship journey, so watch out for it!

  1. Lauren, I enjoyed the editing that you did on this video. Your interviewing skills were great! You seemed to really make people feel comfortable when you were interviewing them and they seemed to open up to you and really want to converse with you. I was also confused when I started this assignment as to what I was specifically supposed to do. In order to help you with your future interview assignments you should come up with a specific opportunity that you want to ask people about as opposed to asking them for opportunity ideas. For example another student asked people about smart phone cases and whether they thought there needed to be a wider selection. I chose to ask high/middle school students about their study habits in order to find out if they were studying effectively. 2. Lauren, I really liked the editing you did for this video, it really made my assignment look bad haha. Your interviewing skills were great and you were comfortable with the people you were interviewing so it wasn't really awkward or bad. At first, it was kind of hard to hear what the people you were interviewing were saying, but later on in the video it was much easier to hear them. 3. Lauren, I thought you did a really good job on this assignment. The editing, music and fading was all spot on and really made this enjoyable to watch. I like how you went to the mall and out of your comfort zone to find people to interview. The first couple of people were hard to hear, but the last girl was spot on with her issue and statements regarding the public school system. Good job again!
